The Sobremesa Experience
We think of ourselves as co-hosts, making conversation with your guests as we mix cocktails and set out appetizers. If you want staff who will blend into the background, that’s not us. A good dinner party is about more than the food – it’s about the ambiance, the company, and the experience. We’re here to create the perfect dinner party experience alongside you.
The Timeline
We like to kick off the night with canape style appetizers, having guests pass through the bar for a cocktail as they arrive. The main courses are later plated and served at the table. Wine is enjoyed family-style but we will ensure the table’s wine bottles are refreshed throughout the meal. Finally, desserts are also presented family-style, that way everybody can choose their own cake slice, so-to-speak, and bask in the sobremesa. All the while, we’ve tidied your kitchen, whisked away the dirties, and made our quiet escape. We hate rushed endings.

Our Process

You’re in good hands! Claudio worked as a bartender for five years while in university, where he found a love for crafting that perfect first sip moment. We create custom cocktails and mocktails to compliment your food and delight your guests. If you’re a more hands-on kind of host, you’re free to select and pick up the wine. Otherwise, we’re happy to take care of that too.

Timelines are flexible, we go with the flow of your event. Right now, we’re primarily booking for weekend events.

Since our focus is seasonal and local, prices vary depending on market price. We aim for around $75 a person, with cocktails and wine at an additional cost.

We’re happy to curate a custom playlist for your event, or even find suiting live musicians based on what you are going for. Just let us know in advance!
